Under Restoration

This aircraft was delivered to Loring AFB in Maine on April 30, 1957. In August 1965, it was returned to Wichita for modifications to the wings and bomb bay. In November 1966, it was assigned to Anderson AFB in Guam and entered into the Vietnam conflict. From 1966 through 1975, it flew missions out of both Anderson AFB and U Tapao Royal Thi AFB in Thailand. It participated in the now famous “Arclight” strategic bombing missions in Vietnam. The B-52 has a wing span of 185 feet and is 156 feet long.
